Look at the plate for a number (two or three digits) followed by a letter, just like Speed6 says. If it's a relatively common colour you can look up the code and identify the colour name from the chart by the paint aerosols in Halfords.

Being a 2000-W, my VIN plate isn't under the bonnet, it's on the pillar on the drivers side where seat belt is. This doesn't have any 2 numbers followed by letters? Neither does the number on the passenger side dash. Anyone have any ideas?
I don't know whether my car is Flame Red or Carmine Red?

Deano, get a pic of the plate, I'll tell you the paint code, and colour name.
It should be under the bonnet anyway, no matter what age the car is

I can't now as it's dark
Check out this thread: http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=144033
Apparently they aren't all under the bonnet - I did get really confused as I checked out my Haynes manual and doesn't mention that!?

Yeah, just saw that thread. Never knew that.
If you can't get a pic, can you get the numbers on the plate?

Excellent thanks - I take it you work at Vauxhall or have a paint chart?

I was trying to find a thread like that but couldn't!
To quote from Vauxhall Owner's Manual after saying the VIN plate is under the bonnet:
quote:
In a different design version, the identification plate may also be affixed to the right-hand front door frame.
I take it this is the case as with all post-2000 Corsa B's?
