This just proves why a lot of Saab drivers are wankers:

Over priced, don't do anything particularly well, a bit ugly in all honesty and funny colours.
Did ok in rallying in the 70's and early 80's though
Agree with jambo

nothing wrong with saabs, built like tanks (5 star ratings), have solid engines (over engineered hence why the sweeds like tuning them), turbo versions certainly aren't slow and they offer a lot of comfort....they aren't special and styling is like a porsche (never changes)...but there far from shite
But good video though, shame that everyone is jumping on the bandwagon though
Tom - agree that the colours are a bit dull, but certainly no more than McLaren offering the F1 in "shit" brown

Fraid im not on the bandwagon, i havent liked them since i could walk.
They are owned by GM only produce FWD family saloons wich granted are safe but only for the few people who appreciate them. Also as for the engine comment most of them are GM engines, i.e similar to vectra engines if not ientical as are brakes etc etc
Hence why hey arent as popular as VX, Ford, BMW, Merc etc etc etc

im far from "on the bandwagon" jambo, but they do what they say on the tin and for a good price too, unlike a merc or bmw, who will happily rip you a new arse for the privilage of having something similar to a top spec saab (which is about 28k).
will agree that the newer stuff is just shared between all of the GM groups (front end on the 95 shares the chassis of a vectra i believe), but go back to the 900/9000 (pretty fooking ugly) and you will understand why the swedes like them so much and why they tune/race them.
Still, i'd happily buy a saab over a bmw and certainly over a merc if i was after a family car....mainly just because of what they offer and the price they can do it for

FWD Gm car vs. RWD German built marque?
I know which id choose.
9000's are nice IMO, the least ugly saab
