IIRC the standard heat shield fits over some after market manifolds. With an engine bay like that though he could have at least bought a nice shiny new one. I have one for sale if anyone is interested by the way! fiver? Eck I think yours is the nicest

Oh yeah, my bad. Looks like one of the nuts is rusted in the hole aswell. Angle grinder time. Seriously though. All that bling and a rusted standard manifold

i have just purchased a magnex twin oval cat back system for my gti, as the standard full system has broke... and getting a performance exhaust has worked out cheaper than replacing the standard system. thinking of lowering my car 50mm too... is the handling much much better? i paid 3k for the car its done 30k on a w reg... bargain yeh ?
