was speaking to a mate today whos dad owns a motorsport company (I look after one of their cars (westfield with a hyabusa SBD engine) and its coming to me for mapping soon.
anyway, they were out at croft doing some testing with a car they race in the hatch and saloon group and testing some new brake setups on a pug 106 on tb's which puts out about 190ish bhp. they also have a pug 106 that they run in the non modified class (group n)
both had standard brakes and they both put in good lap times but obviously the one with 180bhp was a LOT quicker round the track. They fitted a 4 pot setup with 260mm discs to the group N car and it lapped the track FASTER than the modded one! so what would you prefer? £5000 on an engine or £800 on brakes so I have gone out today and ordered a set of these new brakes for the corsa as I might be selling them soon through Vsport. they are a new brand on the market so wont be available to buy until spring/summer next year as they still have a lot of testing to do.
and if anyone is interested, my 4pots off the gsi are up for sale in classifieds: http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=326491

That was eating much more powerful cars.
