Mate, it's absolutely shite, avoid it.
The prices alone to get into places are an absolute joke, and the drinks prices are even more ridiculous.

Let's be honest mate that could be said about any city in the country on NYE and for me Newcastle is still a better night out than most places in the UK.

i did newcastle on NYE a couple of years back.. was great 
cant remember which bars we went to but it was packed. could barely move

isnt it third best city in europe for a night out..... i don't live far away and still havn't been for a night out there. on the cards though
