been reading on some manufacturers to see what best.
mostly on vaux mk4 astra gsi turbo
CTR
VW golf
as my next car is going to last at least 2-3 yrs looking for something reliable/fun. anybody got any of these or have any car by either vaux/honda/ vw ??

insurance isnt too bad for me on the 3 above when I turn 21 hece why Im looking at them. astra vxr is a distant dream so a nono there. love my hot hatches so ideally one of them which will last

have you tried test driving some of these aforementioned vehicles? that will probably give you a better indication of build quality than anything else.

Seat ibiza cupra would be a better option than the golf, get an absolutely mint one for £6k. Insurance on them is much cheaper than the golf. What about a clio 172 / 182. will beat all the above in standard form probably, but obviously the turbo astra / golf / ibiza is very easily tuned and a remap of £500 will get you just over 200bhp in the ibiza / golf, not sure about the astra tbh.

dont like the ibiza at all so a nono there.
clio 172/182 insurance is bad for me and again not a car I truely like.

well it depends wot you want, if you want something fun and don't care that every bastard has one get the CTR, if you want something rarer and more refined get the astra.

well it depends wot you want, if you want something fun and don't care that every bastard has one get the CTR, if you want something rarer and more refined get the astra.
not fussed tbh , just wanting a good decent hot hatch that ticks all boxes and according to parkers the ctr does
