We were discussing bank accounts last night and my mate said he pays £10 a month for his Nat West account. I asked him why he paid and he said it gets him AA cover, he can't even drive. Whats funnier is he said hes unable to cancel the direct debit.

I pay £10 a month for my Natwest account.
Mainly because it gets me travel insurance for me and the missus (we go about 3 or 4 times a year each so would cost nearly this in insurance) and it also gives me mobile phone insurance which I havent had to use yet, but is good to have.
Not to mention the discounts on a whole load of stuff (have used it on hotels to go away for a weekend, etc.)
Its a good deal if you make use of it all, but most dont!

This is a hum-dinger!
Went to a customer services course with my old retail work, they lady doing the presentation asked "what things are NOT tested on animals?"
Young girl from another store said "Pet food."

aye! When she asked me if I wanted it I wasnt going to go for it, but mobile insurance is about £5 a month, and holiday was atleast £50 a year for each of us, so make a saving just from that.

I pay £4 a month for mine. That includes travel insurance and lower loan rates. The latter i'm not too arsed about, and my Mrs. is a travel agent. I need to cancel it.
