I don't get it

It's supposed to be all re-engineered tracks, but they sound EXACTLY the same as the originals

It's like a best of, without the quality of tracks tbh

Just seems a bit pointless tbh.

Anyone else got it, and see what I mean?

Where did you get it from?

Theres a good chance it could be the exact originals.

Its a DHZ Release John, from a shop

erm, they're not the originals, but it seems to me, all that has been done, is they're added some shite at the start of every track, like the chorus, echoed , or some crowd noise

IF it's the genuine article, it's shit.

for example, before 'Get Back' there is a new intro, which is just the opening chord from 'a hard day's night' and some random noises

this explains it

http://www.nme.com/reviews/beatles/8078

quote:
The reworkings are mostly subtle: an alternate vocal here, extra strings or brass there, beefed-up bass and drums...

bit of false economy going on there then

Just heard "Get Back" on Radio 2 at work. Don't think I'll be buying it, sounds like all they've done is mash up Get Back, Hard Days Night, Glass Onion and The End.

However, I do have my tickets to go and see the Bootleg Beatles again

They've been playing tracks from it all week on Classic Gold.

Sounds alright to me. I might buy the 5.1 surround sound digi pack version.

Just buy/dl the Red and Blue albums and you don't need anything else.

5.1 could be good for some of the stuff from Sgt Peppers.

You've got me wondering now... didn't know they'd released a 5.1 version. Might have a look on Amazon later.

Pointless indeed, if you have ll the old albums it's a complete waste of money and is mainly just making heather mills richer

I have all the originals...

Prefer hearing them the way they were made all that time ago...just wouldnt be the Beatles sound if they were clean and crisp and in 5.1

Doesn't sound the same to me on the advert. Strawberry fields especially sounds fairly different for starters.
