Is anyone here good at poker particularly texas hold em up, me and a few mates want to start playing, im just wondering if there is any good websites or books that can teach you the basics?

im good at it, but tend toi play till i loose on the internet.

Also watch it on Sky...usually on Bravo or Challange

ive had a few go's on some free ones but i aint a clue what the different hands are etc lol, im just guessing, although i won about 1k in fake money by just hitting raise everytime i think ill pop to the library and have a look as i need to get to grips on what the different hands mean etc

is a couple poker chanles on sky, best way to learn is by playing though. the sites that offer free are never the same as you are not actuallt gambling anything and takes the fun away fro it IMO.

best way to learn is get a poker set and start playing, is quite simple really

As said, best way to learn is watch it on TV, they describe what hands are best, etc.
