Hi guys. I've got my car on ebay at the moement. I put it up on Sunday because it was free listings over the weekend.

Is it best to start the auction near the money you want for it with no reserve, or to start it low but put a decent reserve price on it?

what attracts the most attention, and what will get people bidding ?

Also should you tell people that will inevitably ask what the reserve price is?
I've had 4 people ask so far, and have told them all the situation, but i'm not sure if i should be or not?

Anyone have any suggestions how to improve the listings if i need to put it up again?

definately get some better pics, i think they cost but well worth it, interior, engine, down either side, head on, rear, etc,,, i think it's best to give the reserve on the listing tbh, why hide it??? Unless your being sneaky and seeing if sumone will bid higher>???? If people know wot u want they can call or leave it, if they don't they might automatically think it's out of their budget. I only skimmed over the text but make sure you use keywords, when i was looking at corsa's i'd put in "c20let" but some ads would just say corsa turbo. if that makes sense!!

Say you wanted 2k I would start at 1.5k or that...with a reserve..If you start it at 100 or that you get everybody bidding that doesn't really want it just bidding as it's cheap etc..

i started it low to get attention in the first place. i'm hoping that people will start bidding because it's cheap and then get carried away with it toward the end.

Only 3 days in, and 20 watchers already, so hopefully there will be a few more bids.

I should have added more pics to the listing. It was an afterthought about the engine and interior hence the edit/additional info at the bottom.

Hmmm...definitely need some close-up pics as mentioned (should have used 3 of the pics you mention you can show) and I would reveal the Reserve to those that ask.

If I were you I would cover myself against taking less than what you're asking by mentioning that the car is advertised elsewhere and maybe sticking a Buy It Now on her.
