but arent the inlets the same on 1.4 and 1.6?
if so, then the power gain should be the same

I'm not arguing, I believe you, Jamsport rollers are decent, and the inlet you have will give a bigger figure than a lexmaul, like me. so yeah, sounds right

VKR Mantzel.
TUV German approved tuners...
They don't make BS claims as its all tested, hence the TUV statues...
But, that inlet is a home made design one, but fundimentally, its the same as a Mantzel.
Im just quoting, im not getting into the willy waving 1.4 fight. I had a 1.4, decided it wasn't a good enough engine (Vs the 1.6) so didn't tune it, and got a 2.0....
1.4 16v is superb in regards of 1.4 16v engines in motorsport, but Vs the bitgger 1.6, its very underpowered (torque mostly).
Donnas made a fair bit more than 20bhp from her modifcations.

lol
how are the rollers at jampsort? reliable readings?
No. I just couldnt understand where VXR got his claims of 30bhp from a inlet on a standard 1.4. I personally dont disbelieve you

well for a 1.4, i think ive got a vey decent one with these power gains.
im sure evryone will agree too that the 1.6 is better.
but u cant compare the power gains from the 1.4 and 1.6, as the 1.6 is bound to have more power with same mods

Well i've only got 10bhp more, with a manifold, decat and full system, and it being a 1.6

you do get good engines and bad ones though, same mods on 2 different engines of the same type won't always make the same power.

yes, i understand that my power gain is high for the mods i have.
but im not complaining.
but i do believe that my results are accurate

My enigne is running pretty much mint after the work ive just had done it so hopefully might see more than 125bhp. Might get it rollered at PVS TBH

I personally think 26bhp from an inlet is too much IMO, after running 2 out of the 3 popular ones
my old 1.4 had to have loads of mds to get its power figure

so if id had it dyno'd...are you trying to say that the power figure is un accurate?

i dont know, just from running a 1.4 with a spec list as long as your arm, and producing about 20bhp more im doubting it
going on the basis you running a manztel copy, and the fact i still think nearly 30bhp is far to high a gain from a inlet only im doubting to power figure from that run
i may be wrong

well in all circumstances, dyno results always seem to bring up questions from other people. i understand my result was a high figure, but this is what was proven by putting it on the rollers. on the same day, other cars where getting pretty standard results too. so i have no reason not to beleive my result.
anyway, lets get back on topic.
who likes my engine? lol
anyone got any other idea to make it better?
