I could get hold of an engine reasonably cheap, but what else would I need?

Would the gearbox from the 1.2 be suitable, driveshafts, running gear (lower arms, hubs, steering bits)

Would probably change the rear axle to one from a 1.8 sri to get the rear discs, but what would all be needed under the bonnet?

XEV? as in big block?

don't bother, would be much easier just to pay a little more and get a Z18XE, from a 1.8 SRi.

Ah. I thought the xev was the engine from the 1.8 sri. Apologies.
