No Robin. Saddam ordered Harold to kill

BTW, was this a fair trial? was it a legal one?

What is the purpose of The Hague?

I know. I just don't see how people can say "yeah, he deserved it" when other people get a smaller sentence for doing worse things...

I see what you mean, depends where they are tried and under what laws.

Shipman is serving 15 consec death sentences plus extra for forging a will, which means he will be in jail the rest of his life

Death sentence is a quick way out imo, they should be tortured or imprisioned untill they die imo.

It's a move by the Americans. Why was he not tried and judged during the 80s for these crimes done in 82? The US was with Iraq at that time fighting Iran. So America is a complice in the 182 killings. Why not in 1990?

Only now? because the war in Iraq was supposed to be against Weapons of Mass Destruction.

They didn't get anything, so S.Hussien has to be tried for something else, and the US just got it this way.

S.Hussein was judged by the Americans...simple

He'll be a coffin for the rest of his life as he hung himself.

Also, both Shipman and Saddam deserved the death penalty, but it wasnt possible to give it to Shipman.

His suicide note said he decided to end it all because he ran out of patients

Probably yes...although I'm guessing the yanks will somehow prove it was home brewed

Perhaps after they have hung the bloke, they will dig him up and send him to the firing squad for his second death sentence?

Doesn't make sense to me.

Firstly H.shipman was tried under our laws (we dont have a death penalty)

secondly saddam killed a lot more than 140people, thats only the first case there ae others still waiting to be brought against him. he should be hanged in public

i thought the yanks and british stopped all export/imports with iraq in the 80's? i would say its more likely to be russia/pakistan etc that supplied them

Will this cause more trouble in Iraq after he dies, i.e. people violently protesting, as not everyone in Iraq hates him?
