I know you said apart from but I cant recommend Purple parking enough - they were excellent and efficient; no waits longer than 5-10 mins and not particularly expensive; plus being that little further out of the airport zone means you dont get stuck in too much traffic

If its anything like the Gatwick set up you drive to the compound, hand your keys over, then get a shuttle bus to the airport. Then when you return, you get the bus to the compound, your car will be out front waiting, get your keys back, and job done.
We used the Gatwick people a few years back when we went to Orlando, no problems at all.

Not sure what company my sister used, but she payed a little extra to park the car herself and take her keys with her, like you would a normal carpark. Might be worth looking into?
