What do you mean?
Buy a 33ci/convertible save your £2k as they look good anyway then buy an m3 wshen you can afford to purchase and insure/run it etc.

Buy the 330ci as it will be cheaper than an M3 in every way. Maybe spend £2k if you want the looks of M3 but can't afford the insurance peformance wise. It's merely another alternative.
If not, make sure you get a M Sport M6RRK!

those e46's with the kits lack the wings and quarter panels of the m3,which imo make the m3 look so much better as they're wide arch
you could get the wings off a real m3 somehow,as my mate hasa 318Ci with all the m3 bodykit, bonnet, wings, skirts, strips etc...just lacks the engine

At least with an 330ci you have some chance.

Rough guess, £13k+ maybe more/less depending on mileage and spec etc. Check 'WhatCar?' or something, facelifts are generally '03 plate onwards.
Facelifts are easy to spot. Front indicators are the other way up (so to speak), LED rear lights, different M Sport alloys! Just check out the pictures on eBay links, you'll see the difference.
http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/used-prices/Valuation.aspx?deriv=24645&plate=72&buysell=buy
That site may give you an indication. Doesn't show a facelift picture but is facelift details (aslo convertible). Compare that with a Coupe! Generally speaking you'll pay a premium for sat nav and automatic - basically the less creature comforts you have, the less you'll pay. Sports come pretty well specced though...

M3 is an everyday car I dont get your point? It's not exactly a tuned up turbo'd jap car that idles like a pig and grunts in traffic?
Anyone who would take a 330 over an M3 is talking from their arse IMO.

well had a look today.... seen only one or two mostly full of 318ci and 325ci covertibles... there all basically the same m sport styling leather everything apart from engine size.. could be a good thing if insurance isnt a cunt on the 330 !

My mumn used to have one before she got her Merc.
Ride is hard, rattles to fuck and is fairly noisey when driving with the roof up. It isnt such a bad drive though and power is OK.
Womens car IMO though, got for the M3 and not the conv either.
