basically we have a 1970 1.6 ford cortina mk2 engine in perfect condition in our garage. we managed to find the car to which it belonged! the cortina is currently for sale.

me and my dad were thinking about buying it and putting the original engine in, then sell it again. (hopefully with a profit) Car is in perfect condition and is totally original body wise. It now has a 2.0 Toyota diesel engine and gearbox. so basically we need to source cortina mountings, a subframe and gearbox.

would you do it?

It's great how the classics stay looking so good for so long where they're not subjected to British weather.....nice looking motor, reminds me of the 1600E my dad had when I was a kid
