Not sure which, if any 250 riders are coming up?
The 800's are small bikes and everyone who rides them seems to think there more of a 250 bike than a 990 GP bike, I don't like Pedrosa all that much can respect his talent from watching him in 250's last season and think he will do well next season.
Abit worried about Rossi and Hayden, there two of the tallest men in GP, there going to look HUGE on the bike!

Granted he's a excellent rider but race wins and dnf's dont get you the championship.
Rossi won more races than Hayden, and Haydens mid seasons results were awful, 6th-7th etc... Rossi just had more DNF due to being wiped out, and engine failures, which is part of racing so no-one can complain.
Hayden was also developing a bike all season, was only meant to have it for 4 races, but he wanted to keep it.
Hayden won the Championship, he has the most points at the end of the day. But the person who should have won with the results is Rossi, but at the end of the day he didn't, so no-one can whinge about it.
Just another score to settle next year..
Good sportsmanship from Rossi on the cool off lap as well

haydens results since he moved up to GP class are:
2003 - 5th
2004 - 8th
2005 - 3rd
2006- 1st
OK he slipped up in 2004 a little bit but he's had to learn all the tracks, the bike, what you can change on the bike and then had to develop the Honda this year.
Personally i think thats pretty good going considering this is the elite of motorcycle racing

To be fair I can count on one hand the amount of MotoGP races Hayden has won on one hand.
I suppose at the end of the day he was consistent over a season. I think he will be nowhere next year though.

Now I may be wrong but did Rossi not leave the best team and pick a shit one just for the challenge? If so, then to come within points of winning is awesome!!!

I would be astonished if he managed to win MotoGP races on one hand

This is his second year with yamaha, he won the championship last year after leaving Honda and jumping straight on the Yamaha for the 1st time. The man is nothing less than a legend.
Was gutted Valentino came off on Sunday, we all know he would have played with Hayden until the last lap then past him like he does best if this hadent happened.
Fair play to Hayden though, ever since he became Valentino's team mate with honda he's done nothing but improve. even if he does come across as a bit of a wank, he is a fooking good rider.

Once saw a documentary on some guy who crashed his motorbike and lost his arm, recovered and built a bike he could ride with just one arm.
unbelieavble he took it to track days and was actually really competitive, tried taking a corner with one arm once and almost crashed, god knows how he does it

To be fair with an open track in front of Valentino he only managed 7th fastest lap of the race, whereas Hayden got 2nd fastest lap and really disagree with that statement, Hayden was gaining on Troy until Vale crashed out. Vale only needed a few more places to still take the title so don't think Vale was just hanging about..

Rossi left Repsol because Honda were saying it was the bike that was winning the races and not Vales talent, he went to Yamaha and won the first race on it, he was that emotional he pulled over and kissed the front of the bike!

Rossi took a bike that was leagues behined the competition, then went and stuffed the championship in Hondas faces...
Honda have the biggest budget. Rossi has taken a below level bike (which it still is behined the Honda) and can still make it competitive.
Hayden has one of the top bikes and only jsut scrapes the championship..
It'll be madder next year.... Like Hayden, theres some fold who've come up and have jsut been gaining the experience...
But MotoGP is all about nationalities... Notice how the main riders are all either...
Italian
Japanese (most of the bikes come from...)
Portugal/Spain (Big sponsership form these countries)
Notice how any British rider who has done well, goes to MotoGP and gets stuffed, usually because they don't ahve the right "Passport" so never get the good rides...
If Haslem or Toseland go to MotoGP, they will need to ride whatever bike they've got to its limit to get middle positions. Always been the way
We need a custom team to enter, Harris or Spondon or something, then put a British rider on it, then become competitive.

Teams like Harris and Spondon just don't have the budget to run a gp team! the KR team are well under funded compared to even Kawasaki......and they're behind Honda/Yamaha/Ducati in the funding stakes! so a British team like that won't work i'm afraid.
As vxr said, Toseland and Haslam are going to have ride like maniacs for middle placings unless they can get on a decent bike, but we shouldn't (as a country) concentrate on bringing in riders from superbikes. There's a young lad in the 125's called Bradley Smith who, i bet no-one who doesn't watch the smaller classes knows of him! This kid is the future for GP's as far as a British rider is concerned! We need the BBC to concentrate on his future following him through the 125's etc so more potential sponsors see him which leads to a better chance of getting on a "works" bike if he has a good budget to bring into a team!
And as for the Rossi/Hayden argument, well, the Rossi fans (me included) should just deal with the fact he didn't win! theres always next year! And for you Hayden fans, well done on your rider winning!
My predictions are for it to go down to the wire again but this time it'll be between Rossi and Pedrosa with Capirossi there or there abouts. Hayden will win at Laguna Seca only.

Spain has there own system of intorucing yougsters to racing at a young age. Over here we don't and if any brit are to succeed nowadays they need theyre whole familys support and to move abroad to one of these systems.
Bradley did this and competed in the Spanish GP I believe and thats where Repsol noticed him.
In his first season he isn't doing that bad, would be nice to constantly see him in the the points if not top ten, but he's our biggest hope yet.
