Got my insurance renewal through this morning.

Last year was £350 including admin fee of £25, this year is £325 including admin fee.

Not really very happy with that, would of thought another years NCB (5 years in total) and me being 22 now would be worth more than £25

Going to try and get it down to under £300. They did this last year, sent me through a quote that was only just under my last years price but I managed to knock them down by £150 in the end by ringing other insurers and telling them what other people were quoting me. So they obviously have flexibilty in their prices

They are the same as mobile companies, will try and fob u off unless you try hard, or leave.

Dont have no bad feelings about it its just the way it works, use it to your advantage

Yeah I'll just ring round a few other places and see what they are quoting then tell them.

If the other places dont quote any cheaper then I'll just make a lower price up anyway

My bf got his renewal through a couple of months back with HIC. He rang them & said he could get it cheaper elsewhere so they knocked it down by about £50

Try Tesco. I'm only paying £180 FC for my bus and they seem ok with mods. When my new engine goes in they just increase the premium by the percentage the power has increased by.
