Iīm in the process of installing msns-extra to my c16xe. I installed the coolant temp wiring, +12v and ground wires today. So far everything looks good. Will be spending a couple of days more to get the wiring done. Iīm trying to wire it so that itīs easy to switch to std ecu if MS gets fried or something.

My icv wonīt work with MS, so Iīll just make the throttle stay open a bit to make it idle. Iīll get a bigger tb with suitable icv later.

Iīm not worried about doing the injection part, itīs the ignition thatīs a bit scary. Weīll see what happens

Even if I donīt get it to work, it has been interesting to learn how these things work. All the information needed is in the internet. It just takes time to find it all and understand it.

Wohooo! Got the C16XE running with MS.

I had some trouble with the lm1815 circuit I made. Couldnīt get an rpm signal. Turned out that I had just one wire connected to a wrong place. Fixed it, wired everything up again, and it started with the second try

It was running well rich and ignition timing is probably a bit wrong but still it ran very smoothly and responded to throttle. It was idling at about 1000rpm so I guess thatīs how much the icv was left open when I disconnected the standard ecu.

The DIS is very simple to use with Megasquirtīn spark. You just connect the led17 and led19 outputs straight to the 5v control wiring. No new modules or anything needed.

Hereīs some info about my settings. Might not be totally correct but canīt be too wrong either as it runs nicely.
- Megasquirt I v2.2 with MSīnīS extra-code, and minor changes to the board
- LM1815 circuit to change the vr crank sensor signal into hall signal
- No ICV control at the moment
- spark output inverted
- trigger angle= 74
trig a=14
trig b=44
time based cranking

Now I have to go buy an intake air temp sensor and a timing strobe. Still have a lot to do.
