no, its fooking massive.

and the inlet is on the wrong side of the head, there isnt enough room infront of the engine, its a squeeze in an astra

would be good to be proven wrong though.

it'd go in the back no bother.

i just think you'd have issues with the inlet manifold and the front of the car

its a great engine, all alloy, loads of torque, as much power as a c20xe, and newer.

oh yeh dont get me wrong its a brilliant engine suits the astra and vectra well, common as muck tho which could be a good thing for the future. imagine in 5 years z20let's and z22se/yh will be common conversions for corsa c's

And the standard 2.2 bits to accompany it are at least 2x the £££ of the standard vaux bits.

For example (not sure if its different to other vaux models) the alternator is £450 +vat

Also the flywheel is WAY too heavy in the VX lump. I know Lotus played with it to get more torque, but im not sure its so much different from the vaux deriviants.

the vx 2.2 unit is near on untunable too...far better to go for the z20let unit as a transplant

Not worth the hassle in my opinion, much cheaper and easier to put an XE in
