It was the person teaching the blind guy to drive that has been banned for 5 years, not the blind guy.

No the blind man got banned about a month ago for five years, and yes he has no eyes.

Remember it on the news, the other bloke was banned from driving at the time and got the blind bloke to drive thinking that would be a loop hole in the law as he could say he was teaching him and therefore could use his car.
