Hi fowks,

Bit of help needed, I was intending on flying into Luton but is it far away from Silverstone?

Plus would it be best to stay in Luton or can anyone reccomend somewhere closer to the race track?

Also info on Luton nightlife, bars etc round silverstone would be ace.

Any assistance much appreciated

Love you all

Isnt far from Luton, however the roadworks on the M1 at the moment are a complete pain in the arse.

Me, Ian and Matt H spent a night in a hotel next to Luton airport on Saturday night and I can honestly say it was the worst night of my life.

Give me a few moments and I'll get you a place to stay near silverstone

I stayed at the following hotel (and loads of other CorsaSporters) for Trax 2006:

Hotel:
NORTHAMPTON M1, JCT.15
Express By Holiday Inn
CHEANEY DRIVE-GRANGE PARK
NORTHAMPTON, NN4 5FB
ENGLAND

Get some prices asap, nice rooms, bathroom, its all standard I guess but feels nice.

You can possibly hire a car from Luton airport and drive there, I think a cab would cost far too much.

When you are at that hotel, you can either cab (£25) to MiltonKynes for the night life (lots of fun to be had there) or go into Northhampton (dont know much about that...)

there is one closer to the track, its actually on the dual carriage way that takes you to silverstone. I believe its a Holiday Inn or Travel Lodge, check their website! The one I have listed in my earlier post is one junction away on the M1, so its pretty ace

You'll need to rent a car if you can!

So:

* Fly to Luton (I presume thats the closest airport)
* Rent Car
* Drive to Silverstone hotel
* Out on the piss
* Qualifying for Brittish GP
* Out on the Piss
* GP day
* Drive back to Luton
* Fly home

Sounds good

Yeah, don't stay in the Ibis or indeed at Luton Airport if you're going to Silverstone. Its 6 junctions away up the M1.
