After working full time in shitty jobs for the past year i have had it.
I need to learn a trade and as im over 18 most aprenterships dont want to know. I have been looking into these schools that teach you for 3-4 weeks on the trade. http://www.nationaltileschool.com/index.html
Qestion is: has anyone ever done one of these? do they reccoumend them ?
Any info would be cool as im out of ideas of what to do

These sort of courses are useful but are really overpriced.
TBH it is probably easier to learn a trade by starting as a Labourer for a tradesman and picking up the skills on site.
building firms are starting to prefer people who have a general knowledge in more than one area though as it is more cost effective.

Maybe one of those Access courses that get you into uni? Do those at most colleges.
What gets me now is i've done 4 years to get a degree but most of my mates who left school and college will be in the same position as me in terms of employment.

i see were your comming from about the college thing, but i carnt deal with several years there, im 20 yrs old now and need to sort something.
I have looked into labouring also and everyone wants ppl with experiance and referances.

I'm 24 mate and in my final year. There's a fair few older students now too.
No point messing around with a micky mouse course, you want something that will get you a job and a decent one at that.

City and Guilds have bits of this, just searched their site and 6313 looks like the one although that is foundation level and the course title is something more general.
There will definately be stuff out there in further education, either ask your local college or perhaps go via Connexions if you have a local office, or contact the examining body see who is running those quals near you.

MY dads a builder etc and its very hard to find a good trustworthy tiller.
i fyour good then you can get very good money, sometimes charge upto 300 a day if you can get a room finished!!
