Traffic was moving slow through a set of lights on to a cross road, there was a motorcyclist laid on the floor on his back with half a dozen people around him, scattered around him were pieces of brick and glass His bike was stood up on the path at the side of the road. I couldn't see any other vehicle involved. As I went through I heard sirens, so atleast help was on the way.

I'm guessing something was thrown at him judging by what was around him

this near the petrol station (jet maybe i dunno) i was queueing as i left town towards heslington

Biker breaks collar bone
By Press reporter
A HIT-and-run road accident caused rush-hour delays in York last night.

Police were called to a collision between a motorbike and a car in Green Dykes Lane, just after 5pm yesterday.

Police said the car made off after the collision and they are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.

A spokesman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said the male motorcyclist was taken to York Hospital with a broken collar bone.

The accident caused tailbacks along Lawrence Street and Foss Islands Road.
