If its in Next you wont.

The minimum rate for workers aged between 18 and 21 has increased by 20 pence to £4.45, while 16 to 17-year-olds will now receive £3.30, a rise of thirty pence.

I didnt have a scooby about wages etc back then, so not sure if it was good/bad!... i was so pished all the time! Falling alseep on checkout whilst serving, pucking in trollies... setting off fireworks in the car park, sleeping in my car..... what a blur

Think they were so low to start with as i was under 18!

Back in 1997 - 10years ago!! fuck me..... cant be! Been working 'properly' for 5 1/2 years.... so left sains 5 1/2 years ago.... worked there for 4 years or so... fuck me!

No idea what i get an hour now work half the year.... 7 days a week, 12hrs a day... not sure how to calculate that hourly! Hourly on what i work, or houry on 9-5 normal basis?

Yip that annoys me as well.
No incentive for people to want a better/higher paid job when they keep raising that.

And with math’s skills like that, you be earning minimum wage for life.

Full time on 5.35 is still below 11k on the standard 37.5 hr week. Hardly going to get close to surgeons anytime soon is it.

It there to stop people being exploited not as a pay rise because you got no education. And the rise is properly only equal to inflation since it was introduced. So in fact people on minimum wage for years have been having a pay cut each year.
