i know the owner and the car.. the car has had about 5 owners in the past 5 months. seems to go round our village more than the clap!!!

besides the point, if you spend the money doing a conversion like that, why cut corners and do things like a "home made" powercap!! u pop your bonnet to show off your conversion and theres half a fairy liquid bottle, a few bits of pipe you've pinched from stuff around the house and a load of gaffer tape sticking out of your throttle body!!!

if it works use it,doesnt matter how it looks imo,its how it goes,i personally wouldnt use gaffer tape and a welded box but you dont no the situation the person was in at the time,perhaps he new know better and thought sod it ''al whip one up myself''take for example adam_bs corsa a very very tidy example of an xe conversion and he takes due care of his car,but he has part of a vacuum holding his radiator hoses together,its not what people would recomend but works a treat,fair play a say
