Ive seen quite alot of Corsa's on here with Redtop engines in, but what do you guys think are the best way to tune your engines with what power gains? Mant people go for TB's and cam's.. or could you Turbo the 2.0 Redtop's instead of buying a LET or any other ideas? It must be able to be used as a daily drive tho and fairly reliable Should be good to see what you lot think

No point in turboing it. Should have bought an LET instead.
TB's are the way forward.

Ok lets pick up on oen point, reliable.
I believe when you start plonking in cams and TB's onto an 20XE you may start seeing reliablity issues, thsi is the general advice I get from most people.
However, buying a LET on the other hand in standard form will give you that boost in power (pun) and reliablity you need (dont quote me on that ) Plus a very easy upgrade path for upgrades in terms of performance.

u either buy a throttle body setup with cams etc not the cheapest option unless u get them second hand. or sell the xe off and buy a LET. theres no point putting a turbo on ur engine as theres all the bits and pieces to buy. airflow, loom, ecu, turbo etc. u have done the right mod to start with buy buying a diff. anyone that has them will tell u that it is the best money spent. id advise u to go out in a LET and see wot u prefer. but im 90% sure once u go in a LET u will want one

a lot of people comment on tb's being unreliable which isnt the case.
its all about who fits them and sets them up and the quality of the mapping. the best thing with tb's is you ditch all the crappy vaux sensors and run about 4 (tps, crank sensor, air temp and cts) the only thing that ever goes wrong is throttle balance which is a 20 min job to sort out, I have only needed to adjust mine twice in a year.
if anything electical does go wrong then its as simpl as plug in the laptop and it will tell you the problem. Tb's are probably the most simple aspiration system an engine can have.

I take it back, my comment was abit too negitive towards TBs, I'm sure if they were that bad then people would stay well clear.

TB's are electronic fuel injection still. There is no reason that I can see which after fitting them any reliability would be scaraifced, unless of course the map is crap.
