yeah but with the clips u can remove the skirts easily and theyll sit a million times better than using bond

iv just fitted mine yesterday without the clips as its a 1.4.
was easy peasy, its easier if you get sumone to give you a hand.
first i took the front and back arches off.
then lined the skirt up, when it was in position you can get a good fixing on each of the jacking points with self tappers, thats all i needed.
then just run some tiger seal or stuff similar along the inside of the skirt for extra bonding. then all thats left is to cut your existing archs to the right length if you dont have the gsi ones.
mine fit alrite doing that.

I would be concerned about the self tappers rusting. The holes for the clips can be treated properly so they won't. Screw holes in the sill is asking for trouble imo.
