Anyone else find that these type of people speak down to you, almost in a mocking like way just because you dont look hard enough to be as kool as them?

I went to pick up my car from a garage and accidentally walked into the wrong part, i found a bloke fitting this description and said excuse me mate iv come to pick up the leon, but instead of telling me in a friendly way that i was in the wrong part he was really off and almost mocked me for asking such a stupid question,

i feel if i was a fellow meathead the response would have been different

i dont think its a meat head type thing, i belive its more to do with were the people work.

I usually find this type of behavior in most garages/car related industry, even from the skinny gimps.

infact a lot of people display it, take for instance the uber geeks in my game store, who talk down to people if they dont know some completely mundane geeky fact.
