I reall really REALLY do not want to go to a work colleagues wedding as I have found the manager and several other high ranking people are going, which will be meaning everyone trying to brown nose everyone else... an illness seems a safe bet but im not sure now

Blatently should go - weddings - bridemaids and other chicks, free booze and you get to go all suited and booted.

If you really dont wanna go i would just not turn up and tell them monday that something came up.
