Well today I purchased as a run about town car for the wife and kids..

Vauxhall Astra 1996 N reg
1.4 LS
Silver / champagne in colour
Tax and Mot till end Jan 2007
New brakes all round
New exhaust
78K miles, only done 2k miles since last mot. Old person owned it..

Was a trade in at a garage so wasn't cleaned and the old boy had a dog

Price = £625..

I spent a while hoovering and cleaning interior this afternoon and it's mint, no rips/burns/tears in any seats etc..
All electrics/ lights/wipers/washers etc all work.

Came with a 'misistry of sound' CD player

Bodywork is very clean for year, only bad bit I can see is the bottom corner of drivers door got a bit of rust...

No dents or scratches anywhere else.Very smooth.

Once I give it a good wash and polish and do all the black bits think it will be gleaming...

Karen is going to get herself mats and seat covers.

Sorry no pics never had time and I am at work, will get some tomorrow..

AND NOW I will be able to keep the T4 clean etc as kids will not be in it all the time and will save us a fortune on petrol as she isn't running about town in T4

Nice mav..

No point in havin a new car for school runs, shoppin ect as there maintance and what ever a new car would cost seem abit of a bargain tbh
Plus like u said keeps the petrol bill down on the t4 and that little 1.4 wont cost much to run and insure..

Yep exactly Danny

Cheers Seems like a bargain if all goes well, condition is really good..

M2rty...The car we crashed in was not an old car, it was only 3 years odd old but it was a seicento
The astra as said is only for the school runs and shopping etc..If we go anywhere long journeys etc will be the T4 we will be talking.

Only going to have Astra for MAX 1 year.

Mav if you get her to call her previous insurer they will send you written proof of her no claims discount. Just pass that on to the new insurer.

Spotted a red Astra recently round the corner from the missus, they wanted £450 and it was mint. Missed out badly, one fo their neighbours across the road had it and I pass it everyday, gutted about a chance missed. Even thought about offering them £600 and my Fez for it lol.

Nice motor
