tbh I work for a vauxhall garage and we charge just under £50 an hour
we only charge the time set out to do the job even if it takes me longer
small garages and mechanics may have cheaper labour rates but they can and do charge labour out at how long an actual job takes them
im not sure what your local vauxhall gargae charges per hour but if its a 2 hour job on tis then it would cost under £100 in labour at my garage
were a independent garage may take 4 hours to do the same job at say £30 an hour costing £20 more!
thats how it works round here anyway!

thats rediculous cost, althouth a recon alt for the corsa td is £135
the car cost just over as much as that
