i wanna take this part off i dont know if it does anything or is it just 4 show i was thinkin off having it chromed but if i get a mantzel i will not need this will i???

its the top half of the inlet, a mantzel replaces it... its very essential until its replaced by a mantzel though

Dont listen to these guys c4rsa-sport, they are winding you up!
Whip it off and clean it up/polish it. Car will drive fine without it for a few days, it may just overfuel a little bit!!!

It's the inlet manifold. You will find that your air filter is attatched to one end and the head is attatched to the other.

I hope you realised I was joking in my thread earlier c4rsa-sport and havent tried driving round with no inlet manifold on ( dont think it would fire anyway tho!)!!!!
You can take it off to polish it but it will need to go back on the car before you drive it!

the throttle body/ air filter joins the engine through the upper inlet manifold :S
...havent got a clue how it would drive withouth this :S
