Im after some advice if anyones been in the same situation as me.
I only really drive my car at weekends and often not for weeks on end. For next year I was thinking of getting a weekend policy for my insurance which I know is possible. Some people have also said they just get insured for the day when they want to drive which is cheaper.
Is this true/possible?
As I drive it so rarely, it would make sense if I could just insure it for the day if I was going to a show etc. Anyone know how this works?

I'd look into it a bit further, what about theft cover or fire during the week?

You could probably get it insured for 2000 miles a year or less. I've a few mates who's dads do this on Ferrari's etc... Just give a few companys a ring round!

Let me know when you find out!!!
Maybe if we get enough people on board we could persuade someone like Adrian Flux to bring in a pay as you drive policy like many motorcycle insurance companys do. You get fire and theft when the car is garaged, and them fully comp when you drive it - you just phone them up when you want to take the bike out, pay them a few bucks for the month or the day and you are off and away...

Thing is with day insure is that its only insured for the day, which is fine when diriving, but if someone nicks it off your drive when theres no insurance you are quite litterally FUCKED.

Yeah 5 days would be better, that way you can get it ready for a show etc.
Its annoying as I only really use my Nova for about 4 weeks of the year the other 48 weeks it sits in the garage.

I used dayinsure to insure my mums vectra for the day while she was on holiday and my car broke! It cost me 10 pounds.
RAC also do a similar insurance deal, think its called pay by day
