Just looking for the differences between these two models really.

The Leon Cupra 180bhp model and the 225bhp Cupra R

I've got th main ones so feel free to add any other things you know. Main one i'm interested in if people know it is the MPG for the two models.

Ones i have so far:

Different wheels
Brakes
Front bumper
45bhp (Different turbo and map iirc)
Tailpipe
Seats

Any other things i have missed peeps?

Cupra - Multi spokes R - Twin 5 Spokes
Cuprs has 305mm brakes I think R - Brembos
Cupra R has more of an airdam bumper
R might have bigger intercooler too.
Cupra has leather, R has embroidered cloth
Cupra has twin pipes and R has one.

R has 2 intercoolers. much ncier looking is the R, if you can stretch to it then id def have the R over a normal cupra.

Cupra avg. 33.2mpg

Cupra R avg. 32.1mpg
Cupra R has another 33lb/ft of torque
FR(late cupra) has titanium coloured door mirrors
Cupra has optional leather, very few have it though
No leather option on Cupra R
Cupra R has ESP with EBA(Electronic Brake Assist)
Cupra R has black rooflining
Recaro Seats were a factory option on Cupra R, although not that different to standard Cupra R seats!

IIRC the 225 has higher flowing injectors and larger inlet and exhaust valves. A different turbo and two intercoolers. Not entirely sure but there is def some internal differences that you should investigate as I am not 100% sure. Try the seat/audi forums.

get a cupra diesel. cupra looks, fantastic performance, cheap insurance and tax, 45+ mpg.

will show up some quicker petrol cars as well. I nearly bought one a few months back but lost interest in another big(ish) car.

trust me, go test drive one! I was pleasantly suprised.

There was also 2 different engines in the cupra r the first ones were only 210bhp and the later was 225 there was no visually difference I dont think just less power on the early model.

That sounds to me like...

my interest is not to make my car LOOK GOOD TBH, rather KEEP it UGLY

The model of Cupra you have looks awful IMO. The poverty version.

WTF, if i want a sport car i will get one, difference is not everyone does low mileage or has bags of money to run a car.
I'm a student so dont earn loads but i could manage to run one of these, a twin turbo supra with 500bhp i wouldnt be able to run, but there is such a thing as a happy medium
