Got car checked and apparently its not head gasket.
Oil light only comes on when revs die down, then when u accelarate a bit the light goes off.
Car runs fine, no probs at all, what could this be.

not sure, not being that clued up but could it be a loss of pressure in the oil pump?

could be a faulty oil pump, faulty sender, engine or oilway failiure, even a wiring fault.

If it was a wiring prob wouldnt it do it at random points ?

poss oil pressure switch fault? they run on a spring and ball bearing to allow a connection for the light to work, so could be this? if not prob your oil pump
