my cars just failed its mot cuz the cables worn, how easy is it to change? how do u do it

I just did mine, not very hard but I would set aside a whole day to do it and make sure you have all the right parts. I would also replace the rear brake shoes while youre at it.

Things you will need; two handbrake cables a short one and a long one, an adjuster nut, rear shoes, 2 hub pins, copper grease, Pliers, 10mm and 12mm spanners, and one to take the rear hub nut off, cant remember size, pretty big though. Dont know if you need to take the centre pipe off the exhaust to gain access because mine was already off when I did the job, but you definitely need to take the exhaust heat shield off, and both rear drums. A job that is ten times easier done on a hydraulic ramp.

ive got a bloke doin it 2mo cheap, bought the cable today, bought some headlight clips too, my car shold pass this week..plus Free Retest woohoo!!

honda centre in crewe, (sells motorbikes), he gave me a week which i thought was odd but ive booked it in for tomorow. Theyv had the computers since i tested it ther last year so they shud no what theyre doinm duno how the comp test works now but my dads mates with them so it mite b a favour??
