hi everyone
just puzzeled over these short shift gear linkages

http://www.lmfvauxhall.com/prodCatalog/default.aspx?prodId=762&deptId=126&catId=&catIndex=&deptIndex=7

when you fit one do they keep the standard pattern of gears or do they make it like the rally cars? lol you know when you pull the lever back to change up and then knock forwards to change down
cheers, dan

no the pattern stays the same. it just reduces how much you have to move the stick for each cog

A sequential gearbox is what you were thinking of. Fairly expensive though.
