one inch punch is not too impressive, i don't really think that having a big swing gains much more force, acceleration 
some of the speeds in that 2nd vid tho

Punching is all about the motion that consists of the arm, shoulder, back and hip all together. Punching with the body, not just one component.
If there was to be one most important muscle it would probably be the back as it generates power throughout. A good comparison to punching would be a tennis players serve, watch the back and whole body movement.

I can assure you a longer punching distance does gain a lot of force and accelleration!
