Sold my PS2 on ebay yesterday, woman bought it, she seemed genuine, nice emails, 92 100% feedbacks, english buyer not foreign, the money went through into my paypal but now iv gotta new thing appear in paypal above the transaction she made

basically taking the money back out anyone seen this? im not too fussed as i obviously aint sent it yet, do you think its dodgy?

just rang paypal and they think its unauthorised funds whatever that means, i guess a stolen credit card or something.

nope, weird thing she even knocked a fiver off me for it, if she was using a dodgy card surely she wouldnt care how much she paid

Iv got someone else interested in it who i know is genuine, do i wait to see if this gets sorted out or sell it to the other person, paypal said 9/10 it will be fraudulent in this case

just sell it to the other one.
The previous one must have done a chargeback or file an unauthorised transaction claim.

Yeah sell it to the other person. If she gets in contact say you have been informed by paypal not to go ahead with the sale.

on paypal can you not withdraw a payment once you have made if you suspect someone being fraudulent?

shes replied to my emails, shes rang paypal as she didnt understand what was happening, then she emailed me again with
"Hi, I phoned paypal. The bastards have limited my account access until I send in additional ID, so I'll get back to you in a short while when I have sorted something out. Don't know how they get away with it."
wouldnt have thought if she was fraudulant she would maintain comms

Steve, exactly same happened to my cousin.. he had no response from buyer who was still a registered user etc, he rang paypal they said they would investigate etc, was no help so he rang police (it was over £200) and then paypal emailed him after a day sayin apologies mioney has been returned. Also he emailed paypal asking why he wasnt covered by seller protection insurance..
