2 of the wheels on my mates car have cracked very soon after getting new tyres fitted.

Could it be anything to do with different tyres or a manufacturing defect?

Any knowledge of other team dynamics wheels cracking?

mine are fine. done many a trackday on both pro race 1.2s and 2s.

Sounds very dodgy. Could there have been hairline fractures before the tyres were changed and when they pump the tyres up to get the bead to 'pop' it made the fracture bigger? Send em back to TD and see what they say.
