Has anyone here (or does anyone here know of anyone that has) been to the Falkland Islands?

Fancy a unique holiday next year, and have been reading up on the web about the place and history etc. seems quite interesting.

Have to fly there via Ascension Island from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire though!

its worse in the falkland shelly trust me my stepdad lived out there for a while, year round wank weather worse than the isle of man.

do you actually know where the falklands is?

The weather is comparable to the UK, but more sunshine there IIRC?

But anyway, wildlife and that seems quite interesting, and I'm getting bored of conventional holidays!

go to Thailand for a month, you can go through the jungle for a week, teach kids for a week, meditate with the monks for a week and then have a weeks beach style holiday
