Right got a small problem.
My G/f's brother has passed his test and bought him self a Small 1.2 8v corsa...
And the cheapest quote he's got is £2008.00 TPFT personally i think thats a tad fookin dear..
He's tried loads of people and there taking the piss..What would you lot recommend..

He's tried.. Adrain flux,Hic,Liverpools victoria,Tesco's,Brentacre,Elphant,Churchill,quinn,barclays,rac,aa,sainsbury,asda..

get him to do passplus costs around 120 quid but wil save loads on insurance! It saved me £700 on my first car (1.0 pug 106) quoted £1300 odd, told them i had pass plus and paid £711

Dont ask him, force him!  £125 may seem pricey to some people but im glad i did it and i imagine most other people who did it are aswell

try putting a girl on the insurance quote as a named driver.
it is a cheat type thing in th system that brings the price down!

£2008? i presume he's 17? but thats still a very high price in my opinion. the companies listed, did you try and get a quote individually from each of their websites/customer services or did you use confused.com or something similar?
if so, i'd recommend trying each company individually because it gives a more accurate (and more likely cheaper) quote

Putting in your parents name is a bit naughty, but you can quite legitimately add your parents on to your policy, see if that works.

BL4 is a nightmare for insurance, mine shot up when I moved there......it's still not amazingly cheap now, even with 5 years protected no-claims (£600-ish on a 1.6 16v, garaged, alarmed, 12k/year miles, class-1 business usage, 1 "protected" claim within last 3 years, and I'm 30 in about 3 weeks).
