been offered a festa mk2 xr2 for 180 quid and i dnt know if i should buy it and a run around and take mine off the road for winter. its got 6months tax mot till jan, had 2 new sills and in good condition overall body wise. will need new rear wheel cylinders and shoes and may be a head gasket but that doesnt both me much as im a mechanic anyway.
what should i do??? get it or pass

my mate bought mk3 xr2i recently had to replace engine after 4 weeks after him ragging it, its quick i have to say not my sort of thing but for winter defo get it to rag

never used to like them but think they are starting to become a bit 'old skool retro' which is good so yeah id have it!!

I've driven a couple of XR2s in the past, they are like little pocket rockets!

Think they are 96bhp or something?

They're awesome cars, plus you'll never loose money on it. Me and my mates bought one for 12 car rallys a few years back, quality cars. They're bad for rust like, but they're nearly 20yr old now so fair play!

buy it drive it over winter then sell it and make at least 3 times your money back
