i always do had chav lad come up to the bar today, ID'd him, he was same age as me, ID'd his girlfriend, he called me a 'stupid fucking fat ugly cunt', i said so i take it she has no ID then?', to which he replied 'no shes only 15 but it doesnt matter how old she is, im buying the drinks not her', to which i replied 'no youre not, youre barred, now please leave my pub'. typical chav attitude back of 'why the fuck you refusing to fucking serve me, you have no fucking power to do that' (heres me stood with manager badge on )

nope, is illegal.now this is where im a right cunt in work. say a group of 5 or 6 people come into the pub, all under age except one....all go sit up stairs or soemthing, legal one comes to bar. either ill notice this, or one of floor staff will who'l radio me. il then serve the legal one the 5 r 6 drinks (technically this is illegal but i can just claim i didnt see who they were in with).....ill then follw them up to the table, ID the rest, no Id, take all the drinks off them, no refund. if can get away with it, re-sell drinks

general laws (with up to £5000 fine, possible imprissonment etc):
1) selling alcohol to someone under 18
2) selling alcohol to someone over 18 which is for someone under 18
3) selling alcohol to someone intoxicated
4) selling alcohol to someone sober if theyre buying it for someone intoxicated

but in wetherspoons we have some 'in-house' policies such as:
1) if people come in with kids they have to have a meal, not just sit and drink and cant stay drinkin after meal
2) wont serve none alcoholic becks, kopparberg etc to anyone under 18
3) wont serve anyone swearing who who has attitude with any member of staff
4) if we believe someone to be under 21 and has no ID we can refuse service
5) can refuse if we believe the person to have a fake licence (i love this one!)
etc etc etc

not just wetherspoons, all pubs all over the country are the same. just when you spend 40-70 hours a week working in then as opposed to one night a week going out changin pubs every hour or so, you notice it alot more!!
