It would be worth paying for a elise track red letter day, you get to drive the car and find out how it handles before taking it out on the road

i'd say, keep the 206, do the engine work, but no wide kit, just some subtle smoothign and colour coding, then would be abit of a sleeper almost, well more of a sleeper than basically a 206wrc

I like the Pug but it would need proper wheels not boy racer stuff like is on that one.

Elise is better value.

mk1 elise is best option imo

so ur looking 7-10k for an elise

then best mods to get would be:
- s2 bilstewn supension (great to improve s1 handling) about 500 quid
- 160 wheels as look ace, suit elise and are wider so better conact on road about 700 for a set brand new
- uprated pads and disks about 400 but worth is apprently
- oil to air cooler (a must for k series lol) about 200 quid
- oil temp/pressur gauge pod (again must for k series) about 200
- direct to head tb's about 500 quid
- air box for tb's (fits above and allows certain things)about 300
- emrald management about 600
- full exhaust system including maifold sports cat and backbox about 900
-heast sheild for alternator (problem with elise s1 when having ti apprently) 40 quid
- anti surge baffle (stop oil starvation on hard cornering) 50 quid
- areo dynamics helps more stable ride, includes:
111r/160 spoiler or exige style spoiler (100 -300 quid)
front splitter 150 quid
rear sport difuser 150 quid

all the above were given to me by a few lotus owners on one of the owners site when i was asking about them. they are recomendations for a track elise.

And prices for everything are from eliseparts.com except suspension which is from hanger111.com

hope thats helps

I'd buy a 888 Astra but that's not what you wanted to hear!
