Hi guys... well it's time to renew my insurance. I've got 3 years no claims and am 21. The car i'm insuring is my pug 106GTI. The best quote i've had so far with my girlfriend on my policy is £593 TPF&T with norwich union. I've tried HIC, elephant and a few others. I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a company that may insure cheaper. Is it worth trying confused.com, is it easy to use etc. as i haven't used it before, and does the Norwich Union price sound like a good one (I.e. i'm probably not going to get a cheaper quote?)

I want to but money is really tight at the mo and i'm about to go on holiday. I don't work full time and live in a house with the missus, high rent prices bills etc. and i can't afford the monthlies as i'm pretty stretched. I do however have £600 set aside for insurance. do you think i could, go fully comp pay £600 up front and pay the rest in small monthlies over 12 months fully comp was just short of £900

These days isnt comprehensive cheaper than TPFT. I found that on many of the insurance companies i got online quotes from, fully comp was very close or below TPFT then again mine is only an SRi, not GTi so maybe doesnt work same way

There's not much in it from FC and TPFT and most insurance companies prefer you to be on FC
