Bio: Elegant young midfielder who came through the ranks at West Ham before moving to Spurs in August 2004. Has fantastic vision and passing ability. Starred in the Hammers' FA Youth Cup-winning side before making his Premiership debut against Bradford City in August 1999. Deservedly given his senior England debut against Mexico in May 2001. Scored his first Spurs goal in December 2005 - the winner in a 3-2 triumph over Sunderland at White Hart Lane.
