Cat
Just bought the local weekly newspaper.
Every now and then they have articles about people reporting big black cat sightings around Kendal.
Latest one is an elderly woman that reckons a large black animal bared its teeth at her in her garden.
Says theres been 40 other sightings in the area (over the past 5 years).
One says she saw a cheetah like creature running across the field at the back of her house and another says she heard 'cries of a Puma'
not very consistent, Puma and Cheetah are different type of cats and Cheetahs aren't black.
Surely if there was some sort of Puma/Jaguar/Cheetah around then there would be alot of dead sheep.
This happens allover the country aswell. Is it just the press making it out to be a bigger thing than it is or do you think there are these animals out there?
I dont think there is

When we lived in Cornwall there was some sort of big cat that people 'spotted' on Bodmin Moor. The press called it 'The Beast of Bodmin Moor'

I just think they had a bit of space to fill in the paper so thought why not put something about there being a big black cat sighting

Is that one of those "it seemed a good idea at the time!" things? I.e when the cub grew up
