how much would it cost to de badge a car and get teh rebstrips removed at a local bodyshop, as really i cannot be botehered to do it to another car again

Lazy ass. It's such an easy job to do.
No doubt a bodyshop will think you're a muppet if you ask for a job done like that and probably try and rip you off.

do it yourself just get a hot water and a cloth then polish the glue off.

Bodyshop would charge you a silly price because they simply can't be arsed to do it....
It can be done yourself you just need patience  Plenty of posts on here about it  try running a search about "removing rub strips"

heat them up with a hair dryer and they come off so easy, exactly what a bodyshop would do
